Product information
The Maple Leaf™ Orthosis was designed for children with Cerebral Palsy. The orthosis is intended to maintain the length of involved musculature and to control or prevent the recurrence of deformity after soft tissue release, or other related hip surgeries. Since its introduction in 1999, the Maple Leaf™ has been widely used around the world as an alternative to traditional hip spica casts. The Maple Leaf™ is intended to provide faster postoperative mobilization and can be used as an alternative to the hip spica cast following hip reconstruction surgery. The Maple Leaf™ can be fitted as an immediate postoperative orthosis. It can also be applied at the first cast change or anythime during the rehabilitative phase. The Maple Leaf™ is available in three adjustable prefabricated sizes with removeable, washable liners.
