The Espire^™ Hybrid Elbow features the same electronics and battery as the Pro model without the use of a powered elbow joint. Instead the Hybrid utilizes an adjustable forearm counterbalance to assist with the positioning of the device. This allows the patient to position of the forearm with minimal effort, while negating the effects of gravity. The Hybrid’s electric lock can be controlled by a myoelectric signal or by other traditional inputs.
